Dogs and cats わんとにゃん

I saw 2 dogs on the truck and 2 cats in nap on same day. It's heartwarming.
Here are Shiga prefecture in Japan.

Recentry I'm interested in the twin. To be twin or to have twin babies. That's fantastic! I'm not sure tht reason, but the one I knew was that the story written by Haruki Murakami influenced me.

昔滋賀県に行ったときに、同じ日に犬の二匹連れと猫の連れ昼寝を見つけて
うっすらおかしみと暖かさを感じました。

そういえば昔はそうでもなかったけれど、最近何故か双子に興味があります。

犬は石山寺の前にて。
猫は三井寺の中で。
本当は猫はもっと寄って撮りたかったけど
私のレンズはズームなしだったので
近寄るにはこれが限界だったのです。
ズームがあればなあと、思うこともたまにはあるんですけど
この前のレンズもまた単焦点にしちゃいました。

三井寺で一回300円で鐘がつけます。
日本三銘鐘の一つだそうです。

Who is the bride? 誰が花嫁？

This is the Big buddha at Hase temple in Kamakura. Kamakura is located in southern part of Kanagawa prefecture, it takes about 30 minutes from Yokohama by train and is famous for a capital of the Kamakura period (shogunate).

At that day, my friends and I went to there with a couple is from Germany. So I have to explain about Japan as thier guide:-)) It was hard and exciting day.

Fortunately, we could see a marrige that is traditional Shinto style at Tsurugaoka shrine. It was the most interesting that a girl is from Germany asked me that who is the bride. That's a simple question. You know that the bride usually wears white clothes on her wedding. However at that moment the bride wore black Kimono. Definitely she didn't seem to be a bride, because she wore a block one. Of course, it's not difficult quiz for Japanese people.
it's very important we know that there is no common thing for everyone in the world.

八月のやたらと暑い土曜日に久しぶりに鎌倉に行きました。
外国人の友人が一緒だったので、多少の説明をしながら歩いたのだけど、難しいわ、やっぱり。英語拙いし、自分が当たり前に知ってる日本の文化のベースがないから、どこまで伝わってるのやら。

鶴岡八幡宮で運良く神道の結婚式を見たんだけど、「どれが花嫁？」って質問されたので、驚いてしまった。そうか、黒い打ち掛けだったから花嫁さんぽく見えなかったのかもしれないね。
色々と自分にとっても新鮮な日でした。
かき氷を注文するときにブルーハワイを説明出来んと思い、
メロンを頼んでしまいました。

A huge pumpkin かぼちゃにびっくり

I went to Hagi city, Akiyoshi cave, and last but not least, Naoshima island in Kagawa prefecture last summer. One of my friend recommended me to visit there. Thank you, Kana :-) So I visited there with her, Kana.
Naoshima has art sights in its each places, it's good for you to seeing and appreciating many modern artistic productions with beatiful nature. It was a first experience for me.

A huge pumpkin in picture in low is a artistic production, Yayoi Kusama is avant-garde Sculptor, created it. When I saw it in night time, the pumpkin seemed to be more glaring than day time.

去年の夏、萩、秋吉台と合わせて行ったのが香川県の直島。地理的には全く近くもなく、通り道でもなかったのですが、友達がすすめてくれたので、一緒に行ってみることに。
島全体がアートサイトとして楽しめる場所で、普通の瀬戸内海の島を想像していた私はいい意味で裏切られました。そしてへんてこなものや素敵な作品や沢山の地元の人に会い、目一杯遊んできました。
写真の毒々しいカボチャは草間彌生の「南瓜」という作品です。夜行ったら更に毒々しさを増していたね。下の写真の左下に小さく見える突堤の上に乗っているのがこの南瓜です。昼間見るとまた印象が違うんだな。

Short poem 短歌のリズム

これは萩で見かけたもの。左が高杉晋作の歌らしい。
左「面白きこともなき世を面白く　棲みなすものは心なりけり」
右は吉田松陰の辞世の句らしい。
右「親思う心にまさる親心けふのおとずれ何ときくらん」

物事をどんな風にとらえるかって大事なことだと思う。
いつもいつも明るく元気溌剌でいる必要もないけれど
ひねくれた穿った見方をしない自分でいたいなあ。

五七五七七のリズムは体になじんでいて、いいですね。
万葉集が好きで英語に訳した本を買ったけど
やっぱりあのリズム感が英語にすると違うのよね。

A long nose 天狗面

You will see the mask of Tengu in this picture, he has a big nose. Tengu is popular for Japanese people. Here is Hagi in Yamaguchi prefecture.

萩の円政寺にて。2005年夏。
大きな天狗のお面がいい感じです。私の友達も写ってます。天狗って英語で何て言うのだろうって考えてみたら、そもそも日本語でも説明があやふやに。。妖怪とは違うよね？色んな場面で立場も違って全国にいる気がします。
かこさとしの「だるまちゃんとてんぐちゃん」は幼少のお気に入り。

Top of Japan ♪富士は日本一の山〜

Let me talk about my last weekends. I ascended the Mt.Fuji, you know it's a highest mountain in Japan. I guess you would see the shape of Mt.Fuji is trapezoid in the pictures or painting, printings.

To ascend the Mt.Fuji was very hard for me. I haven't had such hard experience so far several years. It was like training for me. However I am very satisfied with the result of this time because we could see the marvelous sunrise and my dream for a long time came true at that time. It's pretty good!!
Although I almost gave up ascending:-)), fortunately I could succeed.

I got altitude sickeness as same as I expected. It happend to me in Tibet also.
I had heavy headache and couldn't walk quickly. I almost was like a dog because I panted for breath.

However I had nice friends who were supported me!

めずらしく今現在の記事です。先週の土曜日に富士山に登って来ました。
こんなに辛いことって久しぶりだよと思う程のハードな登山(修行!?) だったけど、
頂上でご来光を見たら、行ってよかったとしみじみしました。
一度はやりたいと思ってたことが実現して大満足しております。
途中で何度も何度も、やめたいと心中葛藤してたけどね。

チベットの時もそうだったけど、やっぱり高地に弱いらしく高山病による頭痛にやられ、息切れは犬並み。

でも友達が励ましてくれてやり遂げた！感動だわ。。

とにかく人が多すぎて自分のペースで歩けないほどの混雑ぶり。うーん。

疲れた体が欲していたので、激甘のスニッカーズを一気食い出来たことに驚く。

泊まった山小屋は狭すぎて、全員が仰向けに寝れず重なり合うしか無かった！
びっくりだよ！

登ってる途中は辛かったので写真ほとんど撮ってません。。

星空が美しかった。空が近かった。

道を間違えて(!) 意気揚々と下って来た道を一時間半かけてまた登り直したときは
皆へこんでいました。

色々ひっくるめて終わってしまえばいい思い出。
もう一度登れるかと言われると困っちゃいますけど。

Lanterns welcomed us 提灯のお出迎え

These are paper lanterns. In Japan they are called chōchin. I took this one on the street to entrace of Cave Akiyoshido. I think it's like a road to go to see the God.

秋芳洞に行く途中で、小さな商店街のようなところを通り抜けて行きました。その時の写真ね。雰囲気からすると参道だと思う。鍾乳洞に神様が居てもおかしくなさそうだし。ちょっと今から鍾乳洞探検っていう気持ちにそぐわない、強烈な提灯がずらり。でも写真にしてみると、なかなかいいね。

Summer day in Japan 日本の夏空

I took these pictures at Hagi city in Japan. Hagi city is located in the western part of Japana and is very important place for end of Edo period.
You will see the sky in Japan is light blue and my friend is riding a bicycle.
I love this city at the first sight. How small it is! It suits for me. They have beautiful sea and nature, old architecture, temple and old houses with white walls.

萩で撮った写真です。水色の空と自転車に乗ってる私の友達が見えますね。
萩は去年初めて行ったんだけど、一目で気に入ってしまった。大きさも私には丁度よく、海あり、自然あり、城跡やらお寺、白いなまこ壁の町並み。
貸し自転車に乗って回ることをお薦めします。気持ちいいですよ。
かなり暑かったから日焼けしてしまい、白壁が眩しくサングラスを買おうと決意し、
今年ようやく買いました。
もう一度行きたいなあ。

A cat in nap お昼寝にゃんさん

Here is Hagi city at Yamaguchi Prefecture that is located the ponit of western Japan. It was 2005 summer.
You will see a cat is sleeping in front of statues of cats. These are very famous in Japan. We call it the Maneki Neko, it means "fortune cat". In business, we believe that the cat brings success.

What a strange car! The car almost kill a boy!
Here was the Nara prefecture.

Now I don't mind a conclusion that Japan lost at this world cup.
I am still enjoying world cup. However, it's too difficult to see the whole matches. You know, Japan and Germany have a difference in time. It's 8 hours. Additionally the Wimbledon begins this week, too. I am so busy! I watch TV much more than I usually do it. Other things to do has left so far...

W杯はますます見たい試合が増えて来たけど
時間が遅くて余り見られません。しくしく。
それに今週からウインブルドンも始まっちゃって
めずらしくテレビ漬けの日々。
色んなことが放ったらかしに。。。
